In mold labeling is an advanced method for decorating plastic containers in nearly ten years. It is suitable for the automated production products. You don’t need to do secondary processing if an injection machine or a blow molding machine equipped with the labeling system which can make a preprinted label permanently fused to the plastic part itself. It is not only reducing the production process but also increase the production capacity.

And the advantage of In mold label is environmental friendly. The label is fused with the plastic container and won’t peel off. The characteristic for its waterproof and dirt resistance can make the product reusable. If IML applied on the disposable products, no need to peel off the label from the container while recycling. It will reduce the carbon emissions and created a positive impact on the environmental protection.

In mold label can be divided into two types. One is for injection machine. The texture of label surface will be glossy, matte, and orange peel after injection. It is suitable for all kinds of plastic containers. And can be provided in different thickness according to various labeling system. Another one is for blow molding machine. The texture of this label will be matte and mostly use on motor oil bottles, laundry bottles and diverse plastic bottle product.
Both type of IML can apply on PP and PE material. Before choosing the right type of IML, you shall check which one can work on your labeling system because both type IML use different specification of raw material.
